建筑造型应是内部功能的逻辑反映，在与城市环境对话的同时也应对地域文脉进行恰当的创作表达，湖北省人民政府办公楼内部采用横向舒展铝天花造型与出挑深远的金属大屋盖相结合，韵律洞窗、虚实对比、同材异构、异材同构及简约抽象的线条和外饰的组合穿插运用，突出了政府现代办公楼建筑的庄重朴实、大气内敛、平实耐看的建筑风格，并力求对"楚风汉韵"进行现代表达。

The architectural shape is the logical reflection of the internal functions, which should appropriately make the creative expression about the local geographical context while conversing with the urban environment. The inside of Hubei Provincial People's Government Office Building combines the horizontal stretch aluminum ceiling with the overhanging and far-reaching large metal roof. With holed windows showing the rhythm, contrast between solidity and virtuality, same material with different structures and different materials with the same structure, the simple abstract lines are interspersed with exterior decorations, which highlights the architectural style of solemnity, simplicity, generosity, and self restraint, and makes the modern governmental office building look natural and practical with the modern expression about the demeanor of the ancient Chu and the rhythm of the ancient Han.
